Welcome to the second issue of Channel Marketing Journal — the new online publication launched January 10 to invite conversation and share insights on the power of relationships in technology marketing channels.
We’re absolutely thrilled with the response to our inaugural issue. Since it launched, we’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from subscribers telling us how much they value the advice shared by our contributing experts. We’ve heard from others who say they appreciate learning from the experiences of colleagues who face similar challenges, while for some subscribers, Channel Marketing Journal “fills a big hole.”
Thank you for taking the time to tell us what you think.
Many of you have already raised your hand to be featured in a video interview. We can’t wait to hear your story! As the actor, Daniel Dae Kim is quoted saying, “There is as much wisdom in listening as there is in speaking—and that goes for all relationships.”
Which brings us back to the subject of “relationships.”
In this issue, you’ll find more fodder to fuel your channel relationship-building activities, starting with Jeff Mesnik’s video interview with Joe Sykora, VP Worldwide Channel Development at Bitdefender. Our Q&A with Dawn Woodward, Marketing Manager at IT solutions company, Xiologix, offers some useful advice for technology vendors. If you’re a channel partner, let us know if you agree.
Other highlights include our feature, “Why It’s Time to Move Your Campaign In A Box to a Prescribed Marketing Platform,” and from our expert contributor, Nurture Marketing President & Partner Erik Frantzen, you’ll find the article, “Helping Partners Develop Their Own IP and Vertical Solutions Benefits Everyone.”
As for the wisdom of the “listening,” we want to hear from you. So please get in touch — whether you’re interested in sharing a story, participating in a video interview or giving us topic ideas to address in this forum.
We look forward to hearing from you!
